Who Should Attend?

  • All leaders of teams and work groups. It provides guidance and frameworks to the newly promoted or hired, and serves as a refresher course for seasoned leaders.

Detailed Program Outline:

Module 1:

The Psychology of Teams

  • Teams - like humans - can be complex. But once you know what makes them tick, and what team members need to be able to find their feet, dive into the work and work well - and generate increasing levels of performance and innovation together - they start to make more sense. A team is a system - which means that many of the issues they experience can't be solved with linear solutions. Instead, those problems need to be tracked back to the source and addressed there.

Module 4:

Developing Team Excellence

  • Each member of your team has a different set of preferences around how they like to plan and manage their workload and their time. They'll also have different skills, aptitudes, backgrounds, experiences, aspirations and insights. As a leader, knowing how to tune your management and leadership style to each team member when they need it saves time, hassle and stress.

Module 7:

Leadership Resilience

  • Few managers are prepared for the way in which they need to juggle roles, and stay one step ahead of the work and the team as a manager. Resilience is what sets remarkable leaders aside from the (very) many who feel perpetually busy, harassed and 'on'. Get the tools and strategies you need to segment, clarify and focus your energy and time on the most important areas.

Module 2:

Coaching as a Manager

  • Coaching may well be the easiest way to manage, lead and develop a team. The challenge - and why more people don't do it more often - is that it takes patience and practice. But bang for buck, it's the best investment of your time when it comes to team building and development. It's timely, plus it works to recognise strengths, build capacity, reduce blindspots, and develop skills. Not only does it give you a platform to help the team learn, grow, share and celebrate - it makes for profound and practical team building experiences.

Module 5:

Leadership Growth

  • While much of this course is about how to lead and develop excellence in your team - there is one critical piece of the puzzle we wanted to make sure you had - the tools to support your own growth as a leader. The tools we've included here will help you build comfort with growth and create goals that aren't solely about outward achievement (though that's included!). Also included is an exercise to help you move through your fears so you can continue to stretch and grow as a leader.

Module 8:

Beyond Good

  • Get the tools to stay on top of your leadership development AND to work collaboratively with the team to uncover the BIG changes that will take the team - and the business - to the next level of performance. Together.

Module 3:

Building a Culture of Trust

  • Trust is one of the most desired, yet most misunderstood concepts in work relationships. Yet a team that possesses more psychological safety than stress is one that moves faster, goes further and demonstrates more resilience and creativity in the face of adversity than a team where trust is absent. When trust is present, communication, ideas, innovation and energy flows. Restoring trust is the fastest way to remove the friction that is unnecessarily slowing your team down, or creating tension between team mates.

Module 6:

Stakeholder Management

  • Great stakeholder and management relationships can make significant differences in the level of access and support you receive. But knowing how to build rapport and deliver to (or above) expectations often isn't easy. We'll show you how to determine what makes your manager and stakeholders tick and how to navigate those relationships to build trust.
